A member of the Myrtaceae Family, Cajuput is a distant relative of the Eucalypts and occurs in tropical regions such as Indonesia and Northern Australia. The essential oil is extracted by steam distillation of the leaves and twigs to produce a yellowish-green oil with a penetrating sweet and herbaceous aroma.

Uses in Natural Skin Care Products:

Although Cajuput oil has anti-inflammatory and antispetic properties it is rarely used in skin care preparations.
