Massage oils can be very simple or quite complex to formulate. Basically you can take a Base Oil and then add a few drops of essential oils to it, and you're done.
However, to make a specific bland that has a desired effect, such as helping to relieve sore, aching muscles, you need to know a little about the effects and indications of essential oils.
Below are a few recipes from extremely basic to somewhat complex for you to try and get a feel for how to make your own massage oils.
200 ml of Almond Oil add to that 5 drops of Wintergreen and you have a basic, but effective massage oils to rub into aching muscles.
You could use Lavender to make a very basic blend to help you relax and drift off to sleep.
More Complex Blend
A slightly more complex massage oil blend which is a nice fragrant, relaxing blend can be made using the following ingredients:
Again start with 200 ml of Almond Oil add to that the following essential oils:
