True Natural Skin Care Products are exactly that - Natural. They do not contain artificial anything and do not contain substances like SLS or products from GMO's (Genetically Modified Organisms). Natural skin care products also do not contain artificial preservatives or colours in them. They use natural products, such as essential oils and herbal extracts.

Think about it - herbal extracts are mostly alcohol based - Alcohol is a preservative. Also, essential oils are by nature antiseptic and often have anti-biotic qualities, so why would you want additional synthetic chemicals in your skin care products that do not need to be there?

     Similarly, you need to watch the base-part of the products. That is what are the herbs and essential oils mixed into? Many companies promote 'natural ingredients' but put them into a cream base which is anything but natural. Instead these base creams/lotions are full of artificial emollients and stabilisers etc. and this is not what makes a natural skin care product. Far from it.

What you should look for in your natural skin care products

     If the list of ingredients contains words that have numbers in them .... your alarm bell should sound. Natural ingredients rarely have numbers, they may be Latin, but rarely anything like 1,2-4..... Natural skin care products should contain things like: Lavender, Eucalyptus, Rose, ... Words - in other words.
